SUPREMACY STANDARD starts with a Town Center [or Town Center Wagon if it's Nomad Age], an Explorer, several Settlers and some resource crates [in the age of your choice from Nomad/Discovery to Post-Imperial Age]. The exact terrain of the map which includes the position of the enemy, native tribes, and trading post sites are blacked out in Fog of War. Players must explore the map and begin gathering the natural resources, food, coin, or wood which are used to advance to a new Age [with new units, technology...], train more units [standard military units training are available from Age II Colonial], create more buildings, and upgrade technology. The actions such as training units, constructing buildings, and killing enemy units or trading posts can give the player experience points. When the experience points reach a certain threshold the players earn shipment cards that can be shipped from the Home City to the player. This shipment can be of resource, army or powerful technology upgrades which can play a key role in player's strategy. Then as your economy and military improves you can destroy the enemy colonies or the enemy may offer to resign.

TREATY the host specifies a time period [10 or 20 or 30 or 40 minutes] during which no player can attack another player. All players during the treaty period work furiously to build resources for the inevitable onset of hostilities at the end of the treaty time. During the Treaty, you can also blockade your opponents to prevent Shipments from their Home City [at a steep price]. Of course, you can expect that they will blockade you as well.

TREATY NO BLOCKADE there is a 40-minute time period during which no player can attack another player. However, in a Treaty-No Blockade game, you cannot block Shipments from your opponent's Home City, nor can they block your Shipments. Continue using your Home City Shipments strategically to try to gain an advantage while no arrows, bullets, or cannonballs are flying.

DEATHMATCH all players start with 20,000 Food, 20,000 Wood, 10,000 Gold. The high resources allows the player to quickly expand the empire, with a strong army and work force. Epic battles will take place and the winner is usually the one who can, despite the high starting resources, create a grand sustainable economy while overwhelming the opponent with hordes of warriors.

REGICIDE you must build protection around and defend your Regent. Your Regent is a very powerful unit that you can use in battle. You can garrison your Regent inside his Castle to protect him if necessary. If the Castle is destroyed, your Regent is unprotected and vulnerable, but can continue to fight and rebuild.

KING OF THE HILL you must capture and hold a Fort at the center of the map. Once a player has captured the Fort, the Fort displays that player's color and a timer begins counting down. If the player is still holding the Fort when the timer reaches 0:00, the player wins the game. If you can capture the Fort before the timer runs out, the Fort changes to your color and the countdown begins again. You can gather all your troops around the Fort to protect your acquisition or go on the offensive to crush potential incursions.
